Highlights

We have been offered just 12 places for a very intimate behind the scenes at Getty’s Hulton Archive in London’s Docklands on the evening of Thursday 20th February 2020 hosted by the Keeper of the Archive, Mathew Butson.

Visiting this unique Aladdin’s cave of visual treasures is quite the experience! The collection spans the period from the dawn of photography right up to today, contains over 30 million images, and is regarded as the greatest collection of photo journalism in the world, showing history in pictures over the last millennium. Delving into the archive with those who know how to navigate it is indeed a unique experience and a rare privilege.

Our evening begins at 5.30pm with an introductory chat over a chilled glass or two and some finger food, and the experience will last approx. 2:5 hours. The price to cover costs is just £45 p person. We shall be very small group and when we know who will be present I’ll be in touch to see if there is an appetite for dining together afterwards, probably in Canary Wharf.

The site of the Archive in Canning Town E16, was used as the VIP and press accreditation centre for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
