You can be one of a small exclusive group of guests witnessing orphaned elephants being re introduced by the orphanage to a wild herd in Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, recently featured by conservationist and presenter Giles Clark on the BBC's “Ingenious Animals” and "Big Cats About The House".
Our annual Celebration of Wildlife to the Masai Mara next October begins with this visit to Ithumba and the orphaned elephants. During the trip you will be accompanied by expert wildlife host, Giles Clark, and joining us in the Mara will be acclaimed wildlife artist Jonathan Truss, whose life size painting of a big tusker is a Guinness Book of Records entry.
There are two options for this trip: The first is the a unique elephant experience in Tsavo including boutique accommodation for 3 nights & 4 days at Ithumba Camp and visits to Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage and get up close with baby elephants. The second is the Celebration of Wildlife safari including 5 nights and 6 days at Little Governor’s camp and a unique safari experience consisting of up to 3 safari drives a day.
On your first day you will fly to Nairobi where you will visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, staying overnight at a lovely boutique hotel. The next morning you will depart in our private charter for Ithumba where you will spend 3 nights at their private luxury camp. Your next destination is the Masai Mara where home for the next 5 nights will be Little Governor's Camp. Along with the 3 game drives a day - where you will be accompanied by one of our celebrity experts - there will be talks in the evening, tuition on how to get the best from your camera, and lots lots more!
